I began my career as a registered nurse and midwife and hold a PhD in Behavioural Sciences in Medicine. My work in health care has inspired me to produce creative works in film making and writing. 

My previous writing includes technical papers, articles and short stories. I’ve written about ageing, the relationship between ill health and quality of life, love, mortality and rites of passage. 

I am currently writing a novel.
